Offerings (Psalm 66)

The Law required sacrifices for unholy people to approach a holy God. But in Psalm 66, we see the writer going far beyond what was required, in an expression of lavish generosity. We know we don’t offer sacrifices to draw near to God (much less to get something from him). And God doesn’t need anything. So why is giving a part of our worship?
