Of all the hard sayings of Jesus, this one is not hard to understand. Jesus is clear with his claim that He is the only way to God, to salvation, to forgiveness of sins, to a life of eternal blessedness and joy, and more. That is what makes this a hard saying to our culture because it is so offensive to be exclusive. In a world of inclusivity that affirms all paths, Jesus contradicts the world's view.
